Oil and acrylic painting hold a special place in my heart. It became my sanctuary during the transition from my native culture to a new one. My journey with painting began at the tender age of 6, through an after-school art program. I distinctly recall persuading my mom to enroll me—I couldn't bear the thought of missing out on such a wonderful opportunity. From the moment I picked up the brush, I knew I had found my calling.
This is a "Spirit Gifts" watercolor painting from a "mom" diary. This one is using metallic watercolors with pen outlines.
I started this traditional Easter craft at the age of eleven as a Czech girl, and I’ve been painting eggs every year since! For me, Easter wouldn’t be complete without the joy of this egg-painting technique and the tradition it carries. I was the first in my family to decorate eggs using food dyes and wax. As a young girl, I attended a craft show at our local church, where I watched elderly women create these beautiful little works of art. Every year, this tradition brings me immense joy and lights up my spirit!
Embracing and enabling creative essence in every aspect of life.
This is where I find my center and grounding on my journey through all aspects of life.
I choose an electric way of living—mind, body, and spirit—nothing more, nothing less.
